Last 2014, Florida officially became the 3rd
largest state in terms of population, consequently bringing with it an increase
in economic success. As a matter of fact, 16 companies recognized in the most
recent Fortune 500 list are in Florida, including World Fuel Services (71),
Clearwater’s Tech Data Corp (111), and St. Petersburgs Jabil Circuit (155), to
name a few.
Aside from these corporate giants, many other small
and medium-sized companies have moved their headquarters to Florida due to the big
potential the state presents—a good tax structure, fair cost of living, a
multicultural workforce, and good location.
In fact, since 2011, Florida has enjoyed a 65% increase in jobs, and
150% increase in capital investment.
According to enterpriseflorida.com the state is the
3rd largest for high-tech establishments, the 3rd largest
exporter of high-tech products, and has one of the top 5 most interconnected
cities in the world, via Miami.
Amongst the list, IT-based and SEO companies are
greatly multiplying in size, too, since Florida has over 26,000 IT companies
and employs more than 250 million workers alone. They have an abundance of IT
experts, internet marketing consultants, and web designers to help new
companies.
